Conduct, Dress and Etiquette
Hatfield London Country Club lays down the following rules
governing the required standards of conduct, dress and etiquette for all
individuals - club members, guests,
visitors and society participants - while on Club premises.
On the Course
- No golfer may play without first paying the appropriate
green fee.
- Golfers must be equipped with their own golf clubs and
bag.
- No match of more than four balls will be permitted.
- Slow play should be avoided at all times. Golfers
must play without delay. The expected time for a round is 4
hours.
- Golfers should repair pitch marks on the greens, replace divots and
rake bunkers.
- No trolleys are allowed on the tee grounds or greens, or
in bunkers.
- Golfers should stop play while a greenkeeper is working
within range of the ball unless otherwise indicated by the
greenkeeper.
- Use of buggy cars - golfers must keep strictly to the
rules displayed in each buggy car. They should note
particularly that only the driver and ONE passenger are
allowed and they must remain seated while the car is in
motion.
- Players only are allowed on the course - no accompanying
adults, children or pets whatsoever.
- Smoking is permitted only on the tee-grounds.
Clothing
- A high standard of recognised golf wear should be worn.
- All shirts must have collars and sleeves and they must
be tucked in to the trousers.
- No denims, football shirts or vests on
or off the course.
- Golf shoes must be worn on the golf course.
- Tailored shorts may be worn as long as they are worn
with socks.
In the Clubhouse
- No golf bags into the Clubhouse.
- No spiked shoes may be worn in the bar,
lounge or restaurant.
- No swearing please.
Club staff have been asked to help ensure
that these regulations are enforced.At all times we would ask
you respect these policies. Failure
to adhere to these rules will mean that admission may be refused.
The Club reserves the right in his sole discretion to refuse
access to any individual, member, or guest to any facility of the Club
should it be deemed that such individual, member or guest is behaving
improperly or in a manner likely to endanger the welfare,
safety, harmony or good reputation of the Club or its Members. |
